Description

Education company in Tysons Corner is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. The Sr. Financial Analyst will report to the Finance Director and perform corporate FP& A duties on a portfolio of centers. My client has bee aggressively growing for a number of years and is looking to double the size of this segment of their business over the next year. This is a tremendous growth opportunity for an individual looking to perform at a high level and advance into a managerial position. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in the allocation of resources, corporate planning and new growth initiatives.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Acquire data/information, deliver key insights and provide strategic perspectives; provide actionable recommendations based on data and performance objectives

  • Build financial models and sensitivity analyses to determine forecasted revenue, costs and profitability for various scenarios and new growth initiatives.

  • Prepare and coordinate materials for executive management to effectively communicate company's strategy and performance

  • Lead rolling forecasts, quarterly outlooks and annual budget process.

  • Perform analysis to understand variances and improve forecasting methods.

Requirements

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related area of study

  • 3+ years of corporate finance (FP& A)

  • Track record of taking direction/training and then working independently

  • Thrive is a fast paced growing environment

  • Excel skills to include pivot tables, vlookups, sumif and rebuilding budgeting/forecasting models if needed

  • Takes initiative

  • Proven track record of taking fragmented and complex data sets and converting to meaningful information

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

PREFERRED:

  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Insights
