Robert Half Sr. Fund Accountant in Mclean, Virginia
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Fund Accountant based in McLean, Virginia. As part of our team, you will primarily focus on maintaining precise accounting records, executing various transactions, and communicating effectively with trading partners and custodians. You will also be instrumental in preparing financial reports and assisting with annual audits and tax reporting.
Responsibilities
• Ensure accurate processing of corporate actions
• Execute the creation, modification, and documentation of accounting procedures
• Carry out trade and position reconciliation tasks
• Regularly prepare and review cash reconciliations
• Generate monthly balance sheet and income statement reports
• Be involved in the preparation of journal entries, purchases, sales, and other transactions in the fund accounting system
• Take part in the resolution of trade breaks, requiring prompt communication with trading counterparties and custodians
• Participate in the preparation of annual financial statements, schedules, and ad hoc requests related to the audit of financial statements
• Assist with annual tax reporting deliverables
• Provide guidance and training to entry level team members. Requirements
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required for the role.
• Must possess strong skills in Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is essential.
• Familiarity with General Ledger management is a prerequisite.
• Should have the ability to handle Journal Entries efficiently.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel is expected.
• Should be adept at handling Month End Close procedures.
• Must have practical experience working with NetSuite.
• Proficiency in Oracle is a significant plus.
• Knowledge of SAP is highly desirable for this position.
