Description
Sara Walker with Robert Half is seeking a meticulous and diligent Payroll Clerk to become a part of our team located in McMinnville, Oregon. In this role, you will be supporting the payroll function, handling the processes of welcoming and transitioning team members, as well as managing employee records.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and execute the processes of welcoming and transitioning team members, including the calculation of final paychecks
• Effectively handle all status modifications, job shifts, and community transfers
• Manage and update all contact information, direct deposit details, and changes in tax withholdings
• Respond promptly and accurately to all employment verification requests
• Handle all garnishments and child support orders in compliance with legal requirements
• Perform payroll-related reporting and maintain up-to-date employee files
• Develop and maintain skills sufficient to provide comprehensive backup for the Lead Payroll Administrator
• Provide software login assistance and support to managers and employees
• Assist with year-end closing tasks and supplemental payroll runs
• Review and edit timecards as necessary and enter all new team member information into the system
• Collaborate effectively with Accounting, Human Resources, Benefits, and Wellness Coach departments.

Requirements • Candidates should hold a minimum of two years' experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Full Cycle Payroll is required.
• Applicants must have a high level of attention to detail.
• Candidates should possess strong numerical and computational skills.
• Proficiency in using payroll software is a must.
• Applicants should have good knowledge of labor legislation.
• Candidates should have excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, is required.
• Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Applicants should hold a degree in finance, business, or a related field. A certification in payroll management will be an added advantage.
• Candidates should be able to maintain confidentiality regarding payroll operations.
