A current opening through Robert Half Finance, seeks an ambitious, determined Controller to join the team at a prominent manufacturing company. The leadership position is responsible for an accounting and clerical department. As the Controller, you will plan and direct all accounting operational functions, manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assess accounting and internal control systems, and guide departmental staff. This full-time position is for a Controller who will work in the Mebane, North Carolina region.
Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective
Meet client expectations by reviewing deliverables of self and team to make sure they meet client satisfaction
Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation
Complete month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts, and handle G/L analysis
Guide all operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Manage the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is on time
Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities
Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash
Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports
Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
Ability to meet deadlines
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Command of Prepare Financial Statements
Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
