Robert Half International Human Resources Specialist in Mebane, North Carolina
Whether you are a highly-skilled Human Resources professional, or have a passion for HR and learning the field - this may be the job for you! Our ideal candidate would be an experienced HR Specialist / Generalist open to Part-Time / Temporary work OR a Motivated / Entry-Level professional offering 1-2 years of HR experience and looking to grow with a company long-term for potential Full-Time / Permanent work. Must be able to work on-site in Mebane, NC office, and able to work at least 20 hours/week starting immediately.
Enjoy a positive, hands-on work environment in a small office setting working closely with HR Manager to support daily administration & Human Resource functions handling a variety of HR Administrative tasks including, but not limited to:
On-Site Interviews (Scheduling & Conducting)
FMLA Request Processing
Conduct safety meetings and implement safety policies and procedures for internal departments
Process FMLA requests
Conduct on-site interviews for municipal job openings
Maintain personnel records in employee database (will train on internal/proprietary software)
Maintain Excel spreadsheets and update Tracking logs
Order office supplies (i.e. hand sanitizer!)
Support HR Manager directly with various projects (small team of 2!)
Able to work at least 4 hours/day Monday-Friday through end of year
Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks
Approachable and appropriate interacting with staff at all levels in a changing environment
Highly professional and able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity
Familiar with office applications and software, specifically Microsoft Excel
Bachelor's Degree or HR certifications preferred
Experience with HRIS / ATS systems, FMLA, interviewing strongly preferred
Any involvement with Safety Protocol/Meetings is a HUGE plus!
