In this role, you will play a crucial part in guiding our client's financial strategy, leading efforts in financial systems and structures, financial forecasting, planning, reporting, analysis, auditing internal controls, grant fiscal compliance, and resource allocations. You will work closely with the Executive Director and Senior Leadership Team to ensure financial resources are optimally aligned with our strategic objectives. Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and execution of annual financial planning processes and financial forecasts in collaboration with the Finance Director and the Senior Leadership Team
• Analyze, select, and implement financial tools, chart of accounts, report generation, and software to enhance financial operations efficiency
• Oversee annual budgeting and ongoing financial forecasting and modeling to support strategic decision-making
• Manage and oversee grants including grant writing, fiscal compliance, internal audits, state grant audits, sub-recipient audits, and all grant responsibilities
• Analyze financial data and trends to provide accurate, timely, and impactful financial recommendations for senior management and key stakeholders
• Collaborate with senior leadership to understand programmatic financial needs and allocate resources effectively
• Oversee fiscal compliance for all grants and program coding
• Provide financial reporting, analysis, and consultation to program leaders
• Work closely with the Finance Director to establish and uphold financial policies and procedures that enhance operations and maintain compliance with industry standards
• Monitor key financial metrics and trends to proactively identify risks and opportunities for performance improvement.
Must have a strong background in budgeting, finance and know GAAP as well as management/leadership experience. Fund and grant accounting experience as well as a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required.
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Functions is required.
• Demonstrable experience with Budget Processes.
• Solid understanding of Capital Management.
• Strong background in Finance.
• Previous experience conducting Audits, specifically Financial Audits.
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct software.
• Experience with Federal Grant and Government Grants management.
• Proficiency in Grant and Fund Accounting, especially in a Non-Profit context.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Annual Budget and Budgeting processes.
