This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the Medina, Ohio area, at a company where effort is rewarded. You might be a good fit for this position if you have the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. This is a position you will thrive in, if you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.
Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions
Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision
Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable Requirements - Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Command of Accounts Payable (AP)
Month end closings experience desired
Foundational knowledge in bank reconciliations
Monthly Bank Reconciliation experience
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Experience with ERP systems
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
