Description
We are searching for a meticulous Tax Senior to join our team in the multi billion dollar wholesale distribution industry. This role is based in Melrose Park , Illinois and focuses on the preparation and processing of sales & use, property tax, and various other indirect tax returns. As the Tax Senior, you will collaborate with other departments. Great opportunity for visibility and growth, bonus eligible and company has paid bonuses

Responsibilities:
• Multi -state Sales Use, Property and other tax. Opportunity to get involved in federal and state tax
• Aid in tax savings and other tax recovery projects concerning sales & use tax and personal property tax.
• Indirect tax audit and compliance process and best practices
• Responsible for supporting workpapers and reconciliations for indirect tax filings.
• Analyze and resolve notices and correspondence from various state and local governments.
• Research various tax positions, prepare indirect tax matrices, and respond to tax questions from the various businesses.
• Assist in maintaining and reconciling indirect tax general ledger accounts.
• Undertake other projects or duties as assigned.

• Must have a minimum of 3 - 15 plus years of experience
• Proficiency in multi state sales and use tax compliance is required
• Must have a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations
• Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
