Robert Half International Accounting Analyst in Memphis, Tennessee
One of our growing clients has a need for a Accounting Analyst. This role will support the Accounting function by providing research and analysis of various pieces of financial information and then reporting their findings. Key responsibilities below:
Gathers, analyzes, and prepares monthly and quarterly bank financial information.
Gathers, analyzes, and prepares Asset/Liability management reports.
Measures interest rate sensitivity and liquidity risk by utilizing Asset/Liability model.
Assists with monthly accounting activities including preparation of general ledger entries, accrual estimates, and general ledger reconciliation.
Prepares variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis, as needed.
Provides backup support in Accounting area, including accounts payable, fixed asset accounting, and shareholder accounting.
Accounting Analyst candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field along with advanced skills in Excel. Banking industry experience preferred. For immediate consideration, please email your resume to Edgin.Levy@roberthalf.com
Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
Variance analysis experience
Adeptness in fixed assets
Comprehensive knowledge of financial analysis
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Risk analysis experience
General ledger experience
Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience preferred)
Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system
Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Experience with financial data management processes & systems, e.g. Oracle/Hyperion/SAP Business Objects/SFDC/Tableau- Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
