Robert Half International Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Memphis, Tennessee

Description Robert Half Finance seeks an eager, strong Accounting Manager for an immediate opening at a growing, dynamic Manufacturing company. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for leading daily operations such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. Preferably, you should be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations. How you will make an impact

  • Review and analyze balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant

  • Team up with FP& A and accounting management to develop relevant, timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

  • Ensure close deadlines are met by encouraging and managing the accounting team performance during the closing process

  • Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements, which includes document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

  • Possessing a thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • Prepare a variety of technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures

  • Play key role in implementation of NetSuite Financials including system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration Requirements - 3+ years of recent relevant financial experience

  • Demonstrated technology and analytical abilities

  • Well-founded grasp of manufacturing

  • Cost accounting experience highly desired

  • Strong familiarity with Manufacturing Cost Accounting

  • Proven knowledge of CPA

  • Microsoft Excel experience

  • Practical knowledge of Manufacturing Costs

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Oracle

  • Foundational knowledge in Standard Cost Accounting

  • General familiarity with Manufacturing Company

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

  • CPA or MBA preferred
