Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Audit Associate located in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. The role involves a variety of tasks related to auditing and accounting within the public sector. You will be expected to develop a comprehensive understanding of auditing methodologies, perform analytical reviews, and maintain accurate documentation.
Responsibilities:
• Develop an understanding of our auditing approach, methodology, and tools used
• Conduct analytical reviews of audit documents to ensure accuracy
• Evaluate client accounting and operating procedures along with systems of internal control
• Identify and resolve accounting and auditing issues through thorough research
• Prepare comprehensive financial statement reports and documentation
• Review work for quality and accuracy, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail
• Utilize strong project management skills to manage your workload across multiple engagements
• Participate in audit engagements and help in creating audit plans
• Understand and contribute to budget processes and other accounting functions.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college/university in accounting
· Eligible to sit for the CPA exam (active CPA license or progress towards obtaining license a plus)
· Current and/or recent audit experience (public accounting preferred)
· Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment
· Flexibility and willingness to constantly learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent written and oral communication skills across multiple levels internally and externally
