Description
We are offering an opportunity for a Controller to join our team in the service industry, based in Memphis, Tennessee. This role involves overseeing tax and regulatory reporting, supervising a staff, and requires banking experience. The workplace is onsite, providing a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee tax and regulatory reporting, ensuring compliance with all industry standards.
• Supervise a team, promoting efficient and effective task completion.
• Leverage accounting software systems, to streamline processes.
• Facilitate auditing and budget processes, ensuring financial accuracy and adherence to fiscal guidelines.
• Manage accounting functions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Utilize CRM and Crystal Reports to track and analyze customer data.
• Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Implement and maintain accounting procedures and controls to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role or related field
• Must have comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Auditing experience is a necessity
• Experience in Budget Processes is required
• Must have knowledge of Regulatory Reporting and Month End Close procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines is required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• Relevant professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus.
