Robert Half Financial Analyst in MEMPHIS, Tennessee

Description This position is for a Financial Analyst with effective communication skills. You're a good fit for this position, if you enjoy working as part of a team. Robert Half is working with a thriving company to find a skilled Financial Analyst. As the Financial Analyst, your responsibilities with consist of performing financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. Other important responsibilities will consist of advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. If you enjoy collaborating with peers in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management, Robert Half has an exciting business partner role available. The Financial Analyst role is a permanent employment opportunity in the Memphis, Tennessee.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

  • Work on monthly and quarterly financial close processes in collaboration with the Accounting team

  • Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, strategic resource allocation and prioritization, and event tracking and execution

  • Deliver effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide valuable foresight and decision support

  • Flexible individuals comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations

  • Recognize potential risks and opportunities while analyzing performance to date

  • Ensure plans are properly executed by working with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations

  • Edit and manage forecasting reports

  • Understand and be able to explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

  • Endorse weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings as well as P& L forecasting

  • Track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations to ensure business partners handle their resources r Requirements - Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

  • Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently

  • Skills in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly desired (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

  • Experience with financial data management processes & systems, e.g. Oracle/Hyperion/SAP Business Objects/SFDC/Tableau- Financial analysis & planning (go-to-market experience preferable)

  • Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus

  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

  • Solid understanding of Data Analysis
