Description There is an opening for a Financial Analyst at a fast-growing, dynamic team via Robert Half —the Financial Analyst will be a key business partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This Financial Analyst role, which is a long-term contract / contract / contract / temporary employment opportunity, is based in the Memphis, Tennessee, area. The Financial Analyst will conduct financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. Your duties will also include advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management.

What you get to do every day

• Ideal candidate would have an adaptable nature and experience dealing with vast amounts of information while exceeding expectations

• Work with the Accounting group to lead the monthly and quarterly close process

• Perform extensive research on the underlying internal and external drivers that are affecting performance and trending

• Manage monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

• Analyze annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations and supply information to business partners to inform decision making

• Assess potential risks and opportunities and research performance

• Participate in planning with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

• Complete and direct forecasting reports

• Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

• Work closely with business partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

• Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide decision making support Requirements - Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement

• Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

• BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

• Research Analysis experience highly desired

• Analysis experience

• Financial auditing experience preferred

• Proficiency in Financial Analytics

• Foundational knowledge in Financial Statement

• Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

• Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

• Skilled in Spreadsheet and ERP system

• Strong communication and social skills

• Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience ideal)
