The ideal candidate for this position can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable participating in compliance, interacting with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. This position is ideal for someone with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.
Your responsibilities
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions
Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Requirements - 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Detailed and have the ability work independently
Budgeting experience preferred
Proficiency in budget forecasting
Solid understanding of general ledger
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Efficient in ERP systems
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
