Robert Half HR Generalist in Memphis, Tennessee

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an HR Generalist based in Memphis, Tennessee. You will work closely with a diverse team, providing comprehensive HR support to our employees. This role will involve managing various aspects of human resources, including payroll and benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations.


• Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates

• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices

• Facilitate auditory reports

• Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information

• Assist employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes

• Distribute all benefits enrollment materials and determine eligibility

• Enroll employees with carriers and process life status changes

• Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries

• Process and administer all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA

• Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities

• Respond to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manage contribution enrollments and loans

• Coordinate annual open enrollment for employees

• Ensure organization remains compliant with all regulations and policies as required based on state and federal requirements, including ACA and FLSA. Requirements • Proven experience as an HR Generalist for a minimum of 2 years

• Proficiency in HR software such as 'ADP - Financial Services', 'ADP Workforce Now', 'ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode', 'Ceridian', 'HRMS', and 'About Time'

• Familiarity with Benefit Functions, Compensation Administration, Compliance, and Employee Relations

• Prior experience with payroll management for 101 - 500 employees

• Knowledge of Benefits Administration

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures

• Ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
