Robert Half IT Auditor (Technology) in Memphis, Tennessee

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Auditor to join our internal audit team. The IT Auditor will play a crucial role in evaluating the effectiveness of our technology controls, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This position will contribute to the overall integrity and security of our information systems and data.

Responsibilities:

Audit Planning and Execution: Participate in the planning and execution of IT audits, including risk assessments, control evaluations, and testing procedures. Develop and maintain audit programs and work papers in accordance with industry standards and best practices. Conduct audits of various IT systems, applications, and infrastructure, including network security, data centers, cloud environments, and software development processes. Control Evaluation and Testing: Evaluate the design and effectiveness of IT controls, including access controls, change management, and security controls. Perform testing of IT controls to ensure they are operating effectively. Identify and document control deficiencies and recommend corrective actions. Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential IT risks and vulnerabilities. Evaluate the adequacy of risk mitigation strategies. Stay informed about emerging IT risks and trends. Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR, PCI DSS, SOX, and HIPAA (if applicable). Assess the organization's adherence to internal IT policies and procedures. Reporting and Communication: Prepare clear and concise audit reports summarizing audit findings and recommendations. Communicate audit results to management and stakeholders. Present audit findings and recommendations to relevant committees. Work with management to track and remediate audit findings. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies. Contribute to the development and improvement of audit methodologies and procedures. Participate in detail oriented development activities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field. Proven experience in IT auditing, risk management, or information security. Strong understanding of IT audit methodologies and frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST). Knowledge of IT infrastructure, operating systems, databases, and network security. Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS, SOX, HIPAA). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CIA, CRISC). Experience with data analytics tools and techniques. Experience with cloud computing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with scripting languages.
