Robert Half Senior Accountant with CPA in MEMPHIS, Tennessee
Description
Your main responsibilities in this position would include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates will need excellent analytical skills and an ability to keep up in a fast-paced workspace. This position comes with solid compensation, benefits, and advancement opportunities. Responsibilities
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Requirements - Great attention to detail
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Comprehensive knowledge of CPA
Month-end Journal Entries experience preferred
Journal entries experience
General ledger experience preferred
Microsoft Excel experience highly desired
Current and relevant ERP system experience
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
