Robert Half Social Media Specialist in Memphis, Tennessee

Description

At Robert Half, we are seeking an energetic Social Media Specialist to assist one of our clients. The successful candidate will assist with the development and scheduling of strategic, innovative, multi-platform organic and paid content aimed at enhancing the reputation of the research, patient care, and workplace culture.

Location: Hybrid (first 90 days are onsite)- Memphis, Tennessee, 38105, United States

Employment Type: W2 Contract, 8 month contract to hire, FT (40 hours a week)

Start Date: September 30th

W2 Pay Rate: $20-30/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Generate social/content copy and work with appropriate staff on final edits and drafts; assist with news and/or promotional video production.

  • Monitor trending issues relevant to the company to identify coverage opportunities for our programs and experts.

  • Create and implement marketing strategies and campaigns to increase followers and increase traffic on social media, digital, and online platforms.

  • Develop story ideas for scientific accuracy, research and prepare news releases, articles, video content, and other promotional materials.

  • Translate scientific research into easily digestible information for news releases and feature stories. As well as incorporating multimedia and social media to explain the research.

  • Perform any other related duties to meet the goals of the department and institution.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field required.

  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated experience in media relations, print or broadcast journalism in a life sciences or healthcare environment.

  • Experience integrating multimedia, social media, and online media strategies in a healthcare or scientific setting is preferred.

  • Experience working with Hootsuite, Canva, all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).

  • Ideal candidate will have experience in organic and paid social media.

  • Proven performance in a similar role.

  • Ability to apply online tactics, strategies, and customized social media approaches for messaging to serve target audiences and foster brand loyalty.

  • Understands emerging communication tools and new channels to align social media plans accordingly.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
