Robert Half Staff Accountant in MEMPHIS, Tennessee
Description If you're looking to build your career in accounting, there's currently a Staff Accountant position through Robert Half that you may want to check out. This company is located in the Memphis, Tennessee region and is offering a dynamic, mulit-faceted long-term contract / contract / temporary opportunity where effort is rewarded. In this role, the Staff Accountant is in charge of preparing monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. This position will require a fair amount of time dedicated to producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. During the monthly close, you'll also be charged with various aspects of internal reporting. You'll also be reviewing schedules for the reporting processes, communicating with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and playing an active role in compliance.

Reconcile various accounts. Prepare journal entries. Perform intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare calculations for property funding. Assist with accounts payable/receivable. Assist with budget preparation for new fiscal year. Requirements - Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
experienced organizational, written and verbal communication skills
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Foundational knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP)
Knowledge of journal entries
Proven knowledge of Prepare Budgets
Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Proficiency in Balance Sheets
Solid understanding of account reconciliation
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
