Robert Half Staff Project Accountant (Edgin) in Memphis, Tennessee

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Project Accountant in Memphis, Tennessee. This role is integral to our team, with responsibilities that encompass processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving inquiries. You will also be expected to monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy in all transactions

• Maintain detailed and accurate customer credit records, updating them as necessary

• Handle customer inquiries, providing timely and relevant responses

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are recorded

• Prepare and post detailed journal entries to the general ledger

• Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date

• Monitor customer accounts regularly, identifying and resolving any discrepancies

• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to company standards and regulations

• Continually enhance your knowledge of accounting principles and industry practices

• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive work environment. Requirements • The job title for this position is Staff Project Accountant (Edgin).

• The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field.

• The candidate should possess skills including Month End Close, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations, and Monthly Bank Reconciliation.

• The candidate must be capable of performing tasks such as managing accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

• The candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in accounting software will be an added advantage.

• The candidate should have excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data.

• The candidate should have attention to detail and accuracy.

• The candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• The candidate should have problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on data.

• The candidate must have a commitment to learning and development, and a willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends.

• The candidate should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
