Robert Half Systems Administrator in Memphis, Tennessee
Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Systems Administrator to join our growing IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of our critical IT infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring system uptime, performance, and user satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain servers, desktops, and network devices
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls (Active Directory)
Perform system backups and disaster recovery procedures
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues
Implement system updates and security patches
Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell)
Provide technical support to end users
Document system configurations and procedures
Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and best practices
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator
Experience with Windows Server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2019, 2022)
Working knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
Strong understanding of network infrastructure concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS)
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Linux and/or macOS operating systems
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
Experience with monitoring and alerting tools
Certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+)
