Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Server & Network Management:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers.

  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and related services.

  • Ensure network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, is optimized and secure.

  • Maintain virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions.

  • System Monitoring & Maintenance:

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.

  • Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patch management to ensure security and efficiency.

  • Backup management using tools such as Veeam, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.

  • Warehouse and Manufacturing Technology Support:

  • Provide support for warehouse technologies including RF scanners, MDM platforms (e.g., SOTI, AirWatch), and warehouse management systems (WMS).

  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth integration of IT systems with industrial control systems (ICS) and production lines.

  • Manage software deployments using tools like Microsoft SCCM and oversee endpoint management.

  • Security & Compliance:

  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

  • Monitor and manage firewall rules, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and antivirus solutions to protect the facility’s IT infrastructure.

  • Ensure proper access controls and user authentication mechanisms are in place.

  • IT Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide tier 2/3 technical support for IT incidents and service requests from staff in the warehouse and production floor.

  • Respond to and resolve hardware and software issues promptly, minimizing downtime in critical operations.

  • Manage ticketing systems to track and report IT-related incidents and solutions.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain documentation for all IT systems, network diagrams, and configuration files.

  • Generate reports on system performance, uptime, and key metrics for management review.

  • Create user guides and technical documentation to assist end-users in the warehouse and production environment.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • 3+ years of experience in systems administration, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong experience with Windows and Linux server administration.

  • Proficiency in managing RF scanner systems and mobile device management (MDM) platforms.

  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and integration of IT with industrial control systems.

  • Experience with SCCM, Active Directory, and VMware.

  • Knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with operations and production teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in IT support within a manufacturing or logistics environment.

  • Certification in network or system administration (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Cisco CCNA).

  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles to improve IT efficiency in production environments.
