Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join our client's growing IT team! In this critical role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of their IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network systems. You will also collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure smooth operation and implement new technologies to support our client's business needs!
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain servers, desktops, network devices, and operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux).
Perform system administration tasks such as user account management, disk space allocation, and security patching.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
Participate in system upgrades and migrations.
Provide technical support to internal users.
Document system configurations and procedures.
Stay up to date on emerging technologies and best practices in the IT field.
Participate in security assessments and implement security measures to protect IT infrastructure.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role.
Strong understanding of hardware, software, and network systems.
Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Experience with scripting languages for automation.
Experience with network security concepts and tools.
Certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+).
