Robert Half Accounts Payable Associate - Intermediate in Mendota Heights, Minnesota

Description

We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the Scientific Instrument Manufacturing industry, located in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. This role will primarily involve managing daily procure to pay invoice processing, prioritizing efficiency and accuracy, maintaining relationships with vendors and other teams, and contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily procure to pay invoice processing for all vendor segments and all invoice types, adhering to Sox controls and prioritizing efficiency and accuracy.

• Maintain positive customer service culture and establish rapport with branches and other teams to build effective relationships.

• Utilize available resources, technology, reference material, and other forms or processes to assist in the processing of invoices.

• Handle daily phone calls and written communication related to accounts payable.

• Complete monthly vendor statement reconciliations and work with vendors to resolve discrepancies.

• Participate and occasionally lead meetings via remote technology with vendors or internal teams.

• Engage in and suggest continuous process improvement ideas.

• Positively and actively contribute to the accounts payable and shared services team environment, taking initiatives to learn and build skillsets.

• Provide analytical support for Accounts Payable Supervisor and Shared Services Director.

• Handle other clerical duties as needed, such as documentation and materials handling.

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of VLOOKUP and Pivot Table functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and familiarity with invoice processing

• Strong customer service skills, including phone presence and written communication abilities

• Demonstrable knowledge of office functions and clerical duties

• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft software

• Prior experience in materials handling and workstation support

• Knowledge of consumer electronics and scientific instrument manufacturing industry

• Ability to collaborate with team members and work with vendors

• Strong planning, prioritization, and decision-making skills

• Experience with the Workday platform is beneficial

• Ability to resolve discrepancies and perform data segmentation

• Ability to maintain documentation in an organized and accurate manner.
