Description Robert Half is seeking a candidate with a thorough understanding of finance and strong communication skills for a Financial Analyst role. Lend your skills to a growing, thriving team at an innovative Healthcare, Hospitals, Social Assistance company. Daily office tasks will consist of conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. The Financial Analyst role is a permanent employment opportunity in the Mendota Heights, Minnesota. A dynamic team has an opening for a business partner skilled in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management to join their ranks.

Major responsibilities

  • An ideal candidate should be highly flexible, comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations

  • Ensure plans are properly executed by working with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations

  • Propel monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions necessary

  • Deliver valuable foresight and decision support by enabling effective Business Intelligence (BI)

  • Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives on creating financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, event tracking and execution, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, and strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

  • Assemble and review forecasting reports

  • Collaborate with the Accounting team on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

  • Drive P& L forecasting and Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis

  • Have a thorough understanding of internal and external drivers and be able to explain how they are impacting performance and trending

  • Ensure business partners handle their resources by tracking monthly and quarterly performance through the comparison of actuals versus expectations

  • Survey performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities Requirements - Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions

  • BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

  • Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

  • Skill with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company

  • Budget forecasting experience preferred

  • Solid understanding of financial analysis

  • Deep understanding of Ad Hoc Reporting

  • Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience favored)

  • Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system
