Robert Half Hybrid - AP/AR Analyst in Mendota Heights, Minnesota

Description

We are looking for a Contract Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our company's finance team for a fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will have a background in both accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), demonstrate excellent analytical skills, and will work well as a part of a team.

  • Maintain and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable records.

  • Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.

  • Conduct account reconciliation periodically, research, and rectify discrepancies.

  • Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.

  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.

  • Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.

  • Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices.

  • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.

  • Review all credit balances, refunds, and adjustments, and apply adjustments and/or corrections to corporate billing records.

  • Ensure timely collection of payments.

  • Assist in month-end financial closings.

  • Coordinate and complete annual audits.

  • Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in AP/AR roles, preferably in the specified industry.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel and ERP software.

  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.

  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.

  • Strong organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize and multitask.
