Robert Half Hybrid - AP/AR Analyst in Mendota Heights, Minnesota
Description
We are looking for a Contract Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our company's finance team for a fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will have a background in both accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), demonstrate excellent analytical skills, and will work well as a part of a team.
Maintain and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
Conduct account reconciliation periodically, research, and rectify discrepancies.
Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices.
Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
Review all credit balances, refunds, and adjustments, and apply adjustments and/or corrections to corporate billing records.
Ensure timely collection of payments.
Assist in month-end financial closings.
Coordinate and complete annual audits.
Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in AP/AR roles, preferably in the specified industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel and ERP software.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
Strong organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize and multitask.
