Robert Half Associate Counsel in MENLO PARK, California
Robert Half is seeking a Associate Counsel to be based in Menlo Park. The Associate Counsel position will work with the Global Corporate and Compliance team in a variety of areas to provide support across the Asia Pacific and South America regions to support the achievement of corporate and business objectives. This position requires a dynamic attorney able to handle a fast-paced changing legal environment with attention to detail.
Specific responsibilities include :
Draft, negotiate, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including client contracts, vendor contracts, NDAs, service agreements and other operational agreements.
International corporate subsidiary corporate compliance and support.
Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards that may affect Robert Half and its subsidiaries. This includes, but is not limited to, advising and staying-up-to-date on industry specific compliance requirements.
Proactively establish strong relationship with internal clients (e.g. finance, information technology, corporate communications, field support, purchasing) to achieve company and department objectives.
Liaise with Human Resources teams domestically and internationally on matters of employment, policy development and implementation, employee discipline, compensation, hiring/firing, unions, non-compete enforcement, privacy and data security matters, client relations and commercial disputes. Employment litigation experience desirable.
Assist with the Protiviti Member Firm network on matters of contractual compliance, trademark and copyright protection, expansion, due diligence, member firm disputes, updates, and generally supporting the Protiviti Member Firm program.
Provide counsel and guidance to management, business units and sales/marketing teams, and other business organizations, and supporting the risk management function and regulatory compliance.
Licensed to practice law in California
Minimum of  years’ experience, with at least [2-4] years of corporate and contract legal work experience. International legal experience desirable but not required.
Experience with corporate compliance program development, including policy, training surveys, education and investigations.
Experience with corporate governance matters.
