Our client is a fast-growing and prestigious venture capital firm!
New position here with the team. The firm is doing terrifically well, and the team is growing.
They’re looking for someone savvy in partnership accounting, driven for excellence, and can see the bigger picture.
They treat their finance team very well and have a very supportive culture, from the top down.
You’ll work on a complex, high performing fund and gain an expertise in complex carry calculations, carry trigger models, and partner allocations.
Day to day of the role:
Maintain general ledger for Funds, including day-to-day cash and non-cash transactions (purchase of investments, conversions, accruals, expenses, capital calls, distributions, change in investment valuations, and exit transactions).
Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations.
Process wires for investments and Fund expenses.
Perform quarterly close of the books for Funds, including all financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Partners Capital, Cash Flows, SOI).
Prepare quarter and year-to-date individual partners’ capital allocations.
Process capital calls, including allocation calculations and cash receipt tracking.
Process both cash and stock distributions, including detailed distribution calculations.
Track investment data and documentation for all investments.
Complete quarterly tie out to cap tables.
Update and maintain LP records; record and perform calculations for LP interest transfers.
Answer LP inquiries and respond to confirmation requests.
Electronically distribute financial statements, partners’ capital statements, K-1s, capital call and distribution notices to LPs.
Other ad hoc responsibilities as appropriate for the position.
Requirements

· 1+ years of experience within audit OR tax
· Strong work ethic, initiative, and attention to detail.
· Superior communication skills, oral and written; this person will communicate with upper management
· Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
· Highly motivated, self-driven, solution and detail oriented.
· CPA is a plus.
