Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Menlo Park, California

Description We are in search of an HR Manager to join our team based in Menlo Park, California. In this role, you will manage various human resources services for our firm. This includes processing payroll and benefits, addressing employee relations, and overseeing the recruitment process. This role offers a hybrid work environment with at least two days per week in the office and the flexibility to work from home for the remaining days.

Responsibilities:

• Handle bi-weekly payroll processing for both salaried and hourly employees, managing time-off requests and schedule changes

• Oversee the 401(K)/Profit-sharing plan, including enrolment of new hires, updating contribution elections and ensuring plan compliance

• Act as a key contact between partners and employees, communicating firm policy changes or program rollouts and addressing employee concerns or interpersonal issues

• Monitor the firm’s culture and organize wellness/recognition events to support company goals and enhance employee satisfaction

• Manage full cycle HR functions, including recruitment and onboarding, training and mentoring, disciplinary actions, annual performance reviews, and terminations

• Maintain accurate employee personnel files and update the company handbook as needed

• Liaise with the property manager for facilities issues and outsourced IT to address technology issues that might impact employee performance

• Experience with Benefit Functions

• Knowledge in Employee Relations

• Proficiency in Payroll processing

• Familiarity with Insurance Benefits

• Experience in Onboarding

• Ability to Maintain Handbook Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably as a manager or supervisor

• Must possess comprehensive knowledge and experience in handling benefit functions

• Should have strong experience in managing employee relations and maintaining a positive work environment

• Experience in managing payroll is required

• Understanding and experience in managing insurance benefits is necessary

• Must have experience in onboarding new employees, including orientation and training

• Should be capable of maintaining and updating the company's employee handbook as per the latest policies and regulations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
