Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Instructional Designer, L& D in the field of Learning and Development at our location in Menlo Park, California. In this role, you will be focusing on the creation and refinement of content in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts, overseeing course migration projects, and launching manager and mid-level training programs.
Responsibilities include:
• Overseeing the migration of courses to new platforms, ensuring smooth content transfer processes.
• Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts to create and refine content that aligns with learning objectives.
• Launching manager and mid-level training programs for various learning and leadership initiatives.
• Developing visual content such as pictographs and job aids to assist in learning.
• Ensuring a user-friendly platform integration that adheres to instructional design principles, with a focus on adult learning theory and technology.
• Utilizing tools such as Articulate 360, PowToon, Sana Create, and Learning Management Systems like LearnUpon.
• Implementing the Kirkpatrick Model and conducting performance management evaluations.
• Maintaining an understanding of adult learning theory and developing learning and development strategies accordingly.
• Handling data migration projects efficiently. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design or a related field.
• Knowledge of Adult Learning Theory is essential.
• Experience in learning and development strategy.
• Proficiency in instructional design methodologies.
• Expertise in data migration tools and techniques is a must.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong project management skills.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Highly creative with the ability to think out of the box.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must have excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Must have a proactive work ethic.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently.
