Our client is a venture capital firm with a focus on technology and health care companies.
Senior Tax Manager
Menlo Park; Hybrid
Base + Bonus
Responsibilities:
Support VP of Finance in managing tax compliance lifecycle.
Review year-end tax workpapers and investor K-1 packages.
Assist in preparing quarterly tax estimates for General Partner entities.
Handle annual foreign filings and review federal/state tax returns.
Aid in tax analyses for distributions and complex GP allocations.
Assist with tax analysis for portfolio company acquisitions and restructuring.
Process U.S. federal tax withholding and state tax payments.
Ensure proper maintenance of tax accounts, including 704(b) basis.
Support Director of Finance - Management Company in tax-related matters.
Review quarterly tax estimates and year-end work papers/K-1 packages.
Develop tax strategies for Management Company Members
Requirements
Qualifications:
5-9 years of tax compliance experience
Bachelor's degree and CPA license required
Experience focused on asset management funds
Hungry, intelligent, humble with no ego; analytical thinker/problem solver
Strong foundation in tax; relied on for tax implications and changes
Self-starter, proactive in learning and improvement
