Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a part-time Bookkeeper in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Working within the Tax Consulting industry, you will be tasked with various responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of our financial department. Your role will be crucial in maintaining accurate financial records and implementing good financial practices.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular reconciliations and maintain the general ledger meticulously.
• Post transactions to accounts as part of daily bookkeeping duties.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring invoices are checked and payroll activities are managed efficiently.
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with accepted accounting principles.
• Assist in the preparation of the budget and financial planning processes.
• Support the month-end and year-end close process diligently.
• Liaise with our taxation and auditing teams to ensure efficient and compliant practices.
• Coordinate and prepare necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
• Conduct regular reviews and updates of receivable, payable, and inventory procedures, ensuring an organized and streamlined accounting system.
• Utilize your skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, Bookkeeping, Data Entry, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Payroll, and Creative Solutions - UltraTax to perform your duties effectively.
Requirements • Possess a strong understanding of Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential
• Proficiency in carrying out Bank Reconciliations
• Demonstrable experience in Bookkeeping
• Ability to perform accurate Data Entry tasks
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
• Experience in handling Payroll
• Knowledge of Creative Solutions - UltraTax is beneficial
• A degree in a relevant field, such as finance or accounting, is desirable
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
