Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Mentor, Ohio
Description
We are offering a contract opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in MENTOR, Ohio. This role involves working with payroll systems in a primarily remote environment, ensuring accurate processing and maintenance of employee payroll information. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, from entering and maintaining payroll data to reconciling payroll with the general ledger.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process information in the payroll system, including employees’ commissions, bonuses, severance, retro, short-term disability, and employee reimbursements.
• Manage payroll deductions properly, including garnishments, uniforms, and other miscellaneous deductions.
• Carry out reconciliation of payroll to the general ledger effectively.
• Issue or reissue physical or replacement checks or direct deposits as necessary.
• Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and follow established procedures.
• Conduct auditing tasks as required.
• Utilize accounting software systems and tools such as ADP for efficient payroll processing.
• Handle 401k - RRSP Administration tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now
• Understanding of 401k - RRSP Administration
• Excellent organization skills
• Maintain strict confidentiality
• Knowledge of Benefit Functions
