Description Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Director of Finance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills as part of the management team. What you get to do every day
Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
Perform financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
Oversee insurance and risk management
Manage daily operations of the finance and accounting department
Develop and monitor an organizational structure in order to accomplish department goals and objectives
Prepare financial outlooks and forecasts
Work with department managers to develop five-year business plans
Propose benchmarks for analyzing financial and operating performance
Manage the preparation of all financial reports
Comply with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
Maintains and reviews budgeting and forecasting models
Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functions
Establish short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
Manage the hiring, training, and retention of finance staff Requirements - MBA or CPA is preferred
10+ years of finance and accounting experience
Expert Microsoft Excel skills required
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
Extremely detailed and analytical
Efficiency in a variety of accounting and financial reporting systems
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
