Description

We are offering an opportunity for an experienced Plant Controller to join our team in the construction and contractor industry located in Merced, California. In this role, you will oversee our plant’s financial operations, budgets, and inventory management, playing a critical role in guiding and maintaining cost efficiency within the operations of our manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage plant financial systems, operational budgets, and related reporting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Conduct monthly closing of plant financials, maintaining the accuracy of inventory and cost of goods sold.

• Analyze plant operations and key operational metrics to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.

• Manage capital investment processes and establish necessary controls to ensure financial stability.

• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the plant, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.

• Act as a key financial liaison for plant management, providing financial insights and operational support.

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements to maintain financial integrity.

• Utilize various accounting software systems such as 3M, ADP - Financial Services, CRM, Crystal Reports, and other relevant systems for efficient plant financial management.

• Handle accounting functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable, and conduct regular auditing.

• Oversee the budget processes and provide regular reports on the financial status of the plant.

Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the construction/contractor industry

• Proficiency in 3M and CRM systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services and Crystal Reports

• Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Proficient in using accounting software systems

• Strong auditing skills

• Experience with budgeting processes

• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver on financial reporting timelines

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred
