This Financial Analyst position includes tasks like measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans and conducting financial modeling on a variety of financial products. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing reports for management and advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives. Forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management will be some of your focus areas as a business partner on this dynamic team. In this Financial Analyst position, your duties will aim to support world class strategic and financial planning methods, build long-range operating plans to support business imperatives and develop rolling forecast processes to ensure resources every quarter are consumed at maximum effectiveness. In this position, you will also be expected to follow your main responsibilities with operationalizing and cultivating a more data-driven planning process and improved monthly and quarterly reporting. In this role, you will be directly involved in the coordination of various planning cycles (annual planning, quarterly forecasts and monthly outlooks), while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. You will provide variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments.
Collaborate with the Accounting team on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Possess the know-how and be able to explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
Enable successful Business Intelligence (BI) to deliver valuable foresight and decision support
Track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations to ensure business partners handle their resources r
Recognize potential risks and opportunities while analyzing performance to date
Ensure plans are properly executed by working with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations
Support Area/Segment level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P L forecasting
The ideal candidate should be a highly flexible individual who is comfortable with large amounts of information and adept at managing expectations
Assemble and review forecasting reports
Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives on creating financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, event tracking and execution, Campaign Planning Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, and strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Financial planning analysis (go-to-market experience preferable)
Background in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly valued (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Strong familiarity with financial analysis
Comprehensive knowledge of business intelligence
Expertise in analysis
3+ years of experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system
