Description
Tommy Zapp with Robert Half is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk to join the growing staff at a thriving organization. The day-to-day operations of this role include, matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This permanent role is for an Accounting Clerk in the Mesa, Arizona, area.
Major responsibilities
Use a variety of sources to prepare statements and reports
Accurately code documents with expenditure codes and accounting codes
Process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipts, and help with collection of past due balances to support Accounts Receivable
General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Manually or electronically post financial information
Carry out other related duties and work on special projects as assigned
Reconcile discrepancies, and prepare correction documents as needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts
Support accounts payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
Requirements - Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
Command of Coding Invoices
Billing Functions experience preferred
3 Way Matching experience
Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
