Robert Half Virtual Telehealth Coordinator in Mesa, Arizona

Description The Virtual Health Coordinator (VHC) is a vital member of the Virtual Health Team and reports to the

Virtual Health Supervisor. The VHC’s primary role is to engage with virtual health patients and assist

NextCare Virtual Health Providers (VHP) to ensure a seamless virtual health experience. The VHC works

closely with the VHP and uses strong communication, multi-tasking, creative problem solving,

prioritization, and a passion for high quality customer service to provide 360 degree care of virtual health

patients beginning with visit scheduling, throughout the visit, discharge, and post-visit follow-up and

referral. VHCs will communicate daily with patients and VHPs, both in writing and by telephone and

provide support to patients and VHPs throughout the virtual health visit.


 Continuous monitoring of the virtual health phone line, voice mail and email boxes and ensures email

and voice mail messages are returned in a timely manner.

 Continuous monitoring of virtual health queues to ensure timely engagement between patients and

VHPs and communication to patients and VHPs of any anticipated delays.

 Schedules virtual health patients in the electronic health record (EHR) schedule for VHPs.

 Participates in initial triage of patients and collaborates with VHPs to determine when visits should be

redirected to in-person clinics instead of virtual and assists patients in scheduling with a NextCare

clinic if possible, or communicates alternative options. The VHC documents this information in the


 Collects pertinent information from the patient, including demographics, insurance information,

medical history, current concerns and other necessary information and enters it into the EHR.

 Obtains patient's insurance information and ensures acknowledgement of all necessary

registration information (HIPAA release, Notice of Privacy Practices, Consent for Telehealth

Services, and more).

 Manages VHP schedules to ensure the most efficient use of available virtual health appointments.

 Provides assistance and support for patients utilizing the NextCare virtual health platform by

educating the patient on expectations for the visit, how to test their device and connectivity prior to

the visit to ensure a seamless audiovisual experience.

 Facilitates an efficient handoff of patient to the VHP.

 Communicates pending referrals for lab testing and redirected patients for in-person care to the
