Description We are offering a unique opportunity in the bustling location of Mesquite, Texas for a Software Developer. This role is within the technology industry and will allow the chosen candidate to collaborate with various teams and customers to understand and develop business requirements. This is a contract role that will provide the opportunity to troubleshoot and debug complex issues, and implement solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with leaders, business analysts, product owners, IT architects, technical leads, other developers, and internal customers to understand and develop according to business requirements.

• Maintain and enhance existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain driven design and test-driven development.

• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, and identify and implement solutions.

• Create detailed project specifications, requirements, and estimates.

• Research and implement new technologies to enhance current processes, security, and performance.

• Support the development of coding standards and adhere to best practices and security guidelines.

• Work closely with software architects and technical leads to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs.

• Leverage cutting edge technology to solve business problems by participating in all phases of the development process from inception through transition.

• Advocate the agile process and test-driven development using object-oriented development tools to analyze, model, design, construct, and test reusable objects.

• Contribute to making the codebase a better place to live and work. Requirements

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Solid understanding and experience in software development processes.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, HTML, and CSS.

• Experience with cloud technologies and Agile Scrum methodology.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Strong skills in database management and design.

• Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving system issues.

• Knowledge of security principles and how they apply to software development.

• Ability to conduct research analysis and implement best practices.

• Experience with Spring Framework is a plus.

• Strong customer service skills and experience in a client-facing role.

• Experience in training team members and stakeholders.

• Familiarity with design concepts and website development.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.

• Willingness to travel for work when required.

• Proven experience working with suppliers and managing vendor relationships.

• Knowledge of query languages and database management.

• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
