Description We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team at a credit union located in Metairie, Louisiana. The role involves supporting the organization through a merger and system implementation, handling day-to-day responsibilities and system testing. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic team in a workplace that values integrity, leadership, and exceptional client services.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Accounting team in both daily tasks and system implementation

• Handle month-end close, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

• Assist in budgeting and financial reporting processes

• Conduct data testing while running parallel systems for system optimization

• Maintain a positive professional attitude and motivate others in the team

• Exhibit integrity, reliability, and leadership in all tasks

• Provide exceptional client services by managing self and others

• Respond with a sense of urgency, practicality, and accountability to all tasks

• Utilize various accounting software systems and ERP solutions

• Manage intercompany accounting and billing functions

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Auditing practices

• Ability to handle Billing Functions effectively

• Experience in Federal Credit Union environment is desirable

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Intercompany and Intercompany Accounting

• Ability to work collaboratively and lead a team

• Strong organizational and planning skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required

• CPA or relevant certification is preferred

• Prior experience in a managerial role is a plus
