Description
Here at Robert Half, we are seeking an Accounting Clerk on a contract-to-permanent basis for a legal firm in the Brickell area:
Job Description: As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for supporting the accounting department in various administrative and clerical tasks. Your primary duties will include maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with month-end and year-end closings.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform data entry and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
Process accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements
Maintain and update accounting records and files
Respond to accounting inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Support the accounting team with various administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
Proven experience as an accounting clerk or in a similar role
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Aderant, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
