Description
We are in search of a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Accounting Clerk to join our financial team. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for a variety of financial tasks aimed at improving the company’s financial standing.
Maintain and update financial records of the company, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
Utilize accounting software to maintain accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts.
Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents to prevent discrepancies.
Update and manage accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing financial business transactions.
Enter financial data into the company's software, spreadsheets, or databases.
Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepare reports to confirm transactions prior to settlement.
Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the finance director.
Compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements
Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Familiarity with accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial applications.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Strong data entry skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly in Excel.
Good communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
