Robert Half has partnered with a leading retail company located in the Blue Lagoon, Miami area for a 100% on-site position.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including full-cycle month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliation, audit preparation, inventory accounting, and ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and SOX regulations. Experience with large ERP systems like Oracle and SAP, as well as advanced Excel skills, are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including supervising a team of 4 accounting professionals.

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of full-cycle month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Lead the preparation for external audits and coordinate audit activities, including providing supporting documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.

  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX requirements and safeguard company assets.

  • Manage inventory accounting processes, including valuation, reconciliation, and analysis of inventory-related transactions.

  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data, develop financial models, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes, optimize efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a supervisory or managerial role.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and SOX compliance requirements.

  • Experience with large ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP required.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookup, and macros.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.
