Description
Robert Half, a leading specialized staffing agency, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our dynamic and fast-paced team to work with our client. This is initially a contract role with a strong possibility to transition into a permanent position.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including preparation of monthly forecasts, and monthly variance analysis.
Assist in reviewing the monthly financial statements with senior management.
Maintain the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers; prepare various monthly journal entries and verify the accuracy of general ledger coding.
Record revenues from 3rd party contractors.
Be responsible for the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
Assist in the development and implementation of facility goals and priorities relating to financial management, accounting, purchasing, and payroll in compliance with State and Federal Law, and company policies and procedures.
Establish system controls for new financial systems and develop procedures to improve existing systems.
Maintain accounts receivable function (A/R) including generating all invoices and applying client payments.
Maintain accounting records for advance show deposits.
Assist the with the annual budget, the annual report and other financial reports as needed.
Assist the with the annual audit including working with internal and external auditors in verifying financial information/procedures.
Assist in the training of accounting staff and review accounting reports for completion and accuracy.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
At least 5 years of progressive experience in Accounting, preferably in a management role.
Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent communication skills.
A deep understanding of financial analysis, reporting, and interpretation.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
CPA certification would be an asset.
