Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accounts Receivable Business Analyst to join our finance team. The AR Business Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and improving the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate and efficient invoicing as well as timely collections. The ideal candidate will effectively combine their comprehensive understanding of accounts receivable with their analytical skills to successfully perform their duties.
Responsibilities:
Efficiently managing the entire accounts receivable process, from invoicing to collections.
Analyzing AR processes and procedures and making recommendations for efficiency and improvements.
Monitoring customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and irregularities.
Coordinating with other teams to ensure all invoices are accurate and sent out on time.
Evaluating data and reports from various sources and providing recommendations to management.
Assisting in month-end closing and preparing monthly AR reports and analyses.
Managing relationships with clients to ensure timely payment of invoices and resolution of any discrepancies.
Developing and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of regulatory, industry, and company practices relating to AR.
Contributing to project planning and integrating accounts receivable insights into business process improvements.
Performing other related duties and participating in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Several years of experience in an AR role, preferably with a focus on analysis.
Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with large amounts of data from various sources.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
Ability to meet deadlines, multitask and prioritize tasks.
Thorough understanding of billing and financial concepts.
Ability to identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
