Robert Half Cash Application Specialist in Miami, Florida
Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Cash Application Specialist in Miami, Florida. This role will primarily focus on managing and processing gifts using Raiser's Edge, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of donor information. The Cash Application Specialist will work closely with the advancement and business teams and will be expected to maintain the integrity of the donor database while providing data insights to support fundraising campaigns.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate entry and updating of donor information and gift records in Raiser's Edge.
• Regularly audit and clean the donor database to maintain its integrity and accuracy.
• Generate reports on gift processing activities and donor contributions for internal review.
• Manage the preparation and distribution of donor acknowledgment letters and receipts.
• Collaborate with the advancement and business teams to integrate gift processing with fundraising efforts.
• Comply with relevant data protection regulations and school policies in all gift processing activities.
• Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on fundraising performance, donor demographics, and campaign effectiveness.
• Develop and implement strategies for donor segmentation to tailor communication and engagement efforts.
• Utilize Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge for donor management and financial reporting.
• Handle sensitive donor information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. Requirements
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field
• Proficiency in data processing
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledge of cash activity procedures
• Familiarity with Financial Edge and Razors Edge software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically pivot tables
• Experience with account reconciliation and cash reconciliations
• Ability to reconcile cash accurately
• Understanding of non-profit fund accounting and non-profit accounting
• Experience with gift processing
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Knowledge of standard office procedures and basic accounting principles
• High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information.
