Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Miami, Florida

Description We have an opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper with an immediate start date to direct bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, clerical staff, full cycle A/P, and payroll. Seeking a permanent Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their Real Estate & Property team, our client in the Miami, Florida area, is working with Robert Half to find a qualified candidate to join their Real Estate & Property team. Your responsibilities in this role

  • Draw up subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Look after Accounts Payable

  • Other assignments as requested

  • Create cash flow projections, as needed

  • Operate monthly accounting close

  • Mark budget transfers

  • Produce cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

  • Competent in credit card management and reconciliation

  • Develop monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Experience with Accounts Receivable

  • Business license and gross receipts coverage

  • Classify sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments Requirements - Strong familiarity with General Accounting

  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Well-founded grasp of Human Resources (HR) Administration

  • Full charge bookkeeping experience desired

  • Bank reconciliations experience

  • Command of payroll

  • Journal Entry experience

    • Prior accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, strong analytical and communication skills as well

  • Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing

  • Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines

  • Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

  • Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

  • Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
