Position Title: Bookkeeper

Job Description:

As a Bookkeeper, your primary responsibility will be to maintain accurate financial records for our company. Your duties will include:

  • Recording financial transactions: Enter daily transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, into the accounting system.

  • Reconciling accounts: Ensure that bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records reconcile with the company's records.

  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable: Process invoices, issue payments, and follow up on outstanding invoices. Receive payments from customers and apply them to the appropriate accounts.

  • Generating financial reports: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial performance.

  • Assisting with payroll: Calculate and process employee payroll, including deductions, taxes, and benefits.

  • Monitoring financial transactions: Identify discrepancies or errors in financial records and take corrective action as needed.

  • Ensuring compliance: Stay up-to-date with tax regulations and ensure that financial transactions comply with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts.

  • Providing support during audits: Prepare documentation and assist auditors during financial audits.

  • Maintaining confidentiality: Handle sensitive financial information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
