Description
Robert Half is partnering with a Miami law firm that is seeking a General Counsel to work as the law firm’s legal advisor to senior management. This attorney will be responsible for contracts, ethics and compliance, corporate governance and employment related legal issues. The position is on-site with some flexibility. Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing compliance policies in collaboration with the Ethics and Compliance department.
Managing contracts, negotiations, and legal documentation to protect the company’s interests.
Advising on corporate governance, including board meetings and shareholder relations.
Assessing and mitigating legal risks in partnership with relevant departments.
Addressing employment-related legal issues.
Conducting legal training for employees.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Member of the Florida Bar.
5+ years corporate experience in a law firm or in house legal setting handling contracts, corporate governance, ethic and compliance, mitigating legal risks, and employment related legal issues.
Must have experience with the Florida Bar and rules regulating the Florida Bar.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
